We do not need better trained “kidnappers.” We need all of our families to be safe.
The actions of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in my home town of Minneapolis are not “protecting our country.” They are tearing us apart, rounding up people, even children, for no reason but the color of their skin, and even killing American citizens who are trying to defend them. It’s time to rip off the masks.
Congress is currently debating funding for ICE in the Department of Homeland Security budget. I join with others across North Carolina in calling on our Senators and Representatives to vote NO on any new funding for ICE, and to support reforms including no masks, visible identification, judicial warrants and an end to terrorizing our communities.
We do not need better trained “kidnappers.” We need all of our families to be safe.
