I love that our home is in Davie County. I am surrounded by nature and it reminds me so much of how Charlotte was before it became the city of hospitality and entertainment. Every other house has land, gardens, farm animals, horses and plenty of fresh air. I can go a few short miles to cast my rod and go fishing (which is my favorite pastime). I want to protect our land and natural resources for not only Davie County but West Rowan, and Yadkin County as well.
I would support funding for mental health and substance abuse in our rural area. Too often it is swept under the rug until something awful happens.
I believe we need to properly fund Public Education! While I am grateful for the recent release of a “framework” of a budget for NC, I know that we can afford to do what is right for our teachers and our teachers with masters. We can also do more for the support staff that help our students and our families of North Carolina. Now that this framework is in place, I will be paying attention to who stick around to work on the budget and who decide to go ahead and take that summer vacation. I am all for supporting small businesses! Last but not least, I believe in fair property taxes. I will be paying close attention to the current legislators as they attempt to place that responsibility in Raleigh, rather than leaving that to be manage by our county leaders.
I am a transparent, resilient, innovator thinking, hardworking woman with a proven track record of being willing to listen to understand. I humbly ask you to send me to Raleigh on Nov. 3, 2026 by casting your vote for Sabrina Harris for North Carolina House of Representative District 77!
