The North Carolina Board of Elections voted to set the early voting schedule for Rowan County on August 20, 2026 as they heard presentations of majority and minority plans from across the state. (Any local elections boards with non-unanimous Early Voting plans automatically moved to the state level for a final decision on 8/20/26)
Rowan voters will be able to vote on one Sunday, Oct. 25. The only other weekend voting day is the Saturday mandated by the NC General Assembly, Saturday, Oct. 31, Halloween.
We want to give a huge thank you to Rowan County Board of Elections member Evelyn Medina for her presentation in Raleigh of Plan C, (the minority plan) and to her Democratic colleague on the Rowan Board, Dee Dee (Dorris) Wright, for their combined determination to represent ALL voters in Rowan County with honesty and the transparency the public is due.
The Two Nanas, Pam & Nan, have asked RCDP to thank all residents for their public portal comments, their many letters, their signatures on the petition, and their presence at meetings.
2026 Early Voting Schedule
Early voting in Rowan County will be available on:
- Thursday, 10/15 – Friday, 10/16
- Monday, 10/19 – Friday, 10/23
- Sunday, 10/25 – Saturday, 10/31
Rowan voters are allowed to register at any of the three Rowan One Stop/Early Voting sites during the Early Voting days. You may not register on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
Voters may select any of the 3 Early Voting sites based upon personal preference.
Early voting will take place at 3 Rowan sites during the 2026 Mid-term General Election – Weekdays, 8:00 am – 7:30 pm; Sunday, 10/25 ONLY, 1:00 – 5:00 pm; Saturday, 10/31 ONLY, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
All 41 precincts will be open and voting will be at your assigned precinct location on Election Day.
