Scott HuffmanHouse District 76 (most of Rowan County)

Scott Huffman is a dad, a Navy veteran, and a working professional in information technology and cybersecurity. He is a longtime community advocate who believes public service should be about showing up, listening, and working for everyday people. As a candidate for the North Carolina House 76, Scott is committed to fighting for working families, fair wages, affordable healthcare, strong public schools, and respect for teachers and public employees. He supports voting rights, ending gerrymandering, protecting women’s reproductive freedom, addressing climate change, advancing equality, supporting veterans, improving public safety, humane immigration reform, criminal justice reform, and ensuring every child has a fair shot at a better future through our public schools.

Sabrina Harris, House District 77 (Northwest portion of West Rowan and all of Davie & Yadkin Counties)

I’m grateful for the tough choices I’ve made to prioritize our community and to make a difference in West Rowan, Davie, and Yadkin Counties. I’m running for NC House District 77 because I believe our state deserves a representative who will fight for the things that matter most: Our farmland. Our families. Our future. My platform is built around six priorities – Protecting our farmland & natural resources; Expanding mental health & substance abuse care; Supporting small businesses across all demographics; Women’s rights — all of them; Properly funded public education with real voucher accountability; Fair property taxes that reflect your home’s true value Together we can protect our state, preserve our traditions, and support our future.

Gary Weart, NC Senate District 33 (Rowan and Stanly Counties)

I am running as the Democratic candidate for North Carolina Senate District 33 to fight for fully funded public education, accessible and affordable healthcare, and real solutions to the rising cost of living and safety in our schools. Our families deserve a government that works for them—not special interests. I believe in transparent, accountable leadership and in listening to the people I represent. I am a retired North Carolina public school teacher, coach, administrator, and lifelong advocate for safe, thriving schools. As your senator, I will work to strengthen our schools, protect access to healthcare, and ensure District 33 is a place where working families can afford to live, work, and thrive. Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more equitable future for our community. I have dedicated over 50 years to education, serving as a teacher, coach of seven sports, administrator, violence-prevention specialist, teacher-support specialist, and adjunct professor at UNC Charlotte.
