Organized precincts win elections! Join us at our monthly breakfast meeting on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 am to learn why precinct organizing matters and how you can get involved. We’ll hear from NCDP Regional Organizing Director Mackenzie Reedybacon, NCDP Hispanic Caucus Chair Adrian Maldonado, RCDP Chair Geoffrey Hoy, and RCDP Volunteer Coordinator Joyce Nash.
Local Democrats are organizing as many, including unaffiliated and moderate Republicans, in our community recognize the need to protect our constitution and our democratic ideals in our United States. As Ben Franklin said in response to Elizabeth Willing Powel’s question: “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”. Franklin’s response – “A republic if you can keep it.”
The Rowan County Democratic Party promotes the platform, candidates, and issues of the Democratic Party, specifically those that impact the current residents of Rowan County. As national issues are affecting us more and more on a local level, we open our doors to all who are looking for community. The RCDP focuses on providing opportunities that connect residents with the knowledge to look directly at how policy affects us all and to become better informed voters. You do not have to be a registered Democrat to attend this event. For more information about upcoming events or to subscribe to our Voters Speak Digest and local updates, visit rowancountydemocrats.com.
If possible, please bring a dish to share at our monthly 2nd Saturday Breakfast Potlucks. Doors open by 9:45. Donations are always welcome. All community members are welcome to attend.
