“So Trump – yes, slavery was BAD…we were held in chattel bondage and by the eve of the American Civil War in 1860, there were nearly 4 million enslaved people in the United States.” Ed Hull
Let me first say that this is only a “playbook” regarding the real history of slavery in our country – and, no one, definitely not a non-historian and criminal, can change “history”….with that being said, as an African American or Black American, I am very proud of the fact that I am a descendant of African slaves – I am of the 8th generation of my African ancestors who were transported across the Atlantic Ocean from the West Coast of Africa to the Port of Charleston, SC, after a brief lay-over in Haiti following the Haitian Revolution.
So Trump – yes, slavery was BAD…we were held in chattel bondage and by the eve of the American Civil War in 1860, there were nearly 4 million enslaved people in the United States. The total number of people of African descent who were ever enslaved in the United States is estimated to be around 10 million over the period of slavery, from the early 17th century to the end of the Civil War – which amounts to about 89% of the Black population in the United States.
Whether people will admit it or not…ALL white people benefitted from slavery – they and their families prospered, in one way or another, from the approximate 400 years of the “FREE and FORCED” labor endured by my African ancestors. I will believe and continue to fight for Reparations until my last day on this planet earth …..enough said!
