Local politics are important! Bring your questions about running for local offices on Saturday, June 10th, at 10:00 am. — If not you, you may know someone who would make an excellent candidate and public servant.

At this gathering, Pat Sledge, a two-term Alderwoman, will provide insight into her experiences while serving on the Spencer Town Board. Following her talk, there will be a Question and Answer session, offering you the opportunity to dive deeper into the realities of local governance.

Doors open at 9:45. This event will be hosted at the Rowan County Democratic Headquarters, located at 1504 West Innes Street, Salisbury. Come prepared with your questions and be open to considering whether you might want to run for a local town council yourself! This event could be your first step into public service.

This is a potluck breakfast so bring a breakfast item to share, if you can. Also, a $10 donation for monthly expenses would be greatly appreciated. Come for fellowship and to find out from the inside what serving on a local town council is all about.
