Dear Poll Greeters and those considering taking this important action, Here are 2 introductory “training” reels (less than 2 minutes total) of what it might look like to greet voters at the polls. Thank you to Cal Ledbetter and Andy Craigehill-Middleton for these quick video takes and to Andy for getting them into an easy format to watch and share. 

NOTE: Most often you will simply greet voters with a smile and hand them the slate cards of candidates that they want and are already looking for when they arrive. These videos take that activity a step further to give you two examples of some short prepared remarks you might consider as you develop your own style of comfortably approaching voters.

Please get signed up ASAP.  Here’s the plan (please remember that we have to be flexible and things could change, depending upon the day)

1. General – Materials to hand out and a Help Guide will be in a plastic shoe box with a white lid that says RCDP Poll Greeters.
2. Salisbury site, (the old mall), Rowan Community Center site, will have a RCDP tent. Materials will always be there. Greeters will work a combination of being at or near the tent and working the parking lot. With all of the new construction, we will flex once we see the new layout. 
3. Rockwell site (American Legion Hall) and South Rowan site (Rowan Public Library, South)  These sites are harder to keep staffed and we will have a private outside location near the site for picking up and dropping off the poll greeter shoebox if there is no one before or after your shift. We are not allowed to leave materials at the voting site. 
4. Sign-up site – We are using a free sign-up site and these do include ads. Hit decline if an offer appears and ignore the ads. You may also see some of the former organizer names appear.
