A quick update to the 6/10/26 meeting – Recent Rowan County Elections Board Democratic appointees, Evelyn Medina and Deedee Wright, supported the public request for Plan E, 17 consecutive days of voting, during the Early Voting calendar discussion at the June 10th meeting. No consensus was reached and the meeting ended with the final decision slated to move to the NC State Board of Elections.

Long story short, both Medina and Wright attempted to obtain factual reasons from the three Republican members as to why Plan E was not the best plan for the voters of Rowan County during discussion. Their questions were not satisfactorily answered and after a long and continued discussion and their heartfelt and honest attempt to find a compromise within the five proposed plans and possible variations, Medina and Wright voted yes for Plan C and were once again opposed. Republican Chair and member appointees Dave Collins, Elaine Hewitt, and John Leatherman remained committed to the most restrictive plan, Plan A. With this impasse the meeting ended with the final decision slated to move to the NC State Board of Elections.

We will provide more details and insight once the final decision is formally released to the Salisbury Post or added to the Rowan County Elections Board website. Thank you for your presence and your emails. You will hear from us soon. The Two Nanas, Pam and Nan
