Nov. Breakfast guest speaker, Micah Ennis, is in her fifth year serving as the Social Services Director in Rowan County. Come listen, learn, and ask questions as Micah provides a basic overview of Rowan Social Services and shares poignant information from the department’s annual report for FY 2025. See you at 10 am on Saturday, Nov. 8th! We will also be collecting non-perishable goods for those in need within our community.
In addition to five years as the Social Services Director in Rowan County, Micah has worked in a variety of programs and services in her 30-plus year career at Rowan County DSS. Micah earned an MSW from UNC Chapel Hill in 1998 and completed the UNC School of Government Municipal and County Administration program in 2022. Micah serves as the First Vice President of NCACDSS, as well as on boards of the Rowan County United Way and Creating a Family. When she is not working (cue for laughter), Micah enjoys a mean game of Scrabble with dear friends, a quiet cup of coffee with her husband in their sunroom, chasing one of many grandchildren, and a few artistic endeavors. As you can tell from her bio, our guest speaker, like many of you in 2025, meets the seriousness of her job with a good dose of humanity and humor. Don’t miss this opportunity to better understand how Rowan County Social Services helps community residents.
