Don’t miss an opportunity to hear from candidate Judge Christine Walczyk at the Rowan County Democratic Party’s monthly potluck breakfast on Saturday, April 11th at the RCDP Headquarters, 1504 West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC 28144. Breakfast begins at 10:00 am and doors will open at 9:45 am. If possible, please bring a dish to share.
Guest speaker, Judge Walczyk, recently won her primary and is the Democratic candidate for Seat 03 on the NC Court of Appeals. Serving as a district court trial judge in Wake County for 19 years, Walczyk states, “I have worked hard to safeguard the fundamental rights and liberties of those who appeared in my courtroom with well-reasoned, swift, and nonpartisan decisions. I am running for the Court of Appeals because I am increasingly concerned about the public’s loss of confidence in the court system, a cornerstone of our democracy. My campaign will offer voters an experienced, temperate, and principled candidate dedicated to the rule of law. As a trial judge, I was nominated by four chief district court judges (Democrat and Republican) to serve in leadership positions including Lead Judge in Family Court for many years, and currently as Lead Judge in the general civil court.”
As we are quickly learning, judicial races are most important to maintain our checks and balances in a democratic republic. As the 2026 election approaches, the NC Democratic Party is focusing on Field Team Justice, a part of NCDP’s network of grassroots volunteers dedicated to electing Justice Anita Earls and our three Court of Appeals candidates, Christine Walczyk, John Arrowood, and Toby Hampson. Citizens deserve representation they can trust and this is our opportunity to hear from an important candidate.
The Rowan County Democratic Party promotes the platform, candidates, and issues of the Democratic Party, specifically those that impact the current residents of Rowan County. We invite all who support our mission to join us. For more information about upcoming events or to subscribe to our Voters Speak Digest and local updates, visit rowancountydemocrats.com.
