Our county convention has brought a few new faces, and we’d like to congratulate them and let you see who your party leaders are! We’re incredibly grateful for those who stepped up to run for office, and we’re looking forward to learning from your leadership and wisdom – win or lose – in the coming years!

New officers for Rowan County Democratic Party are Chair, Geoffrey Hoy; First Vice-Chair, Tangela Morgan; Second Vice-Chair, Shawn Rush; Third Vice-Chair, Lloyd Craighill-Middleton; Secretary, Whitney Bost; Treasure, Linda Perdue. Delegates to the State Executive Committee are George El Khouri, Scott Huffman, Laurie Mack, and Dianne Sartiano.

In addition to electing officers, three resolutions were adopted. One from the floor regarding NC Supreme Court Associate Justice Seat 6 Election. A second regarding Powers of Elected Officials. A third regarding Gerrymandering.
