Meet NC Secretary of State, Elaine Marshall, the guest speaker at the Rowan County Democratic Party’s monthly breakfast on July 13 at 10:00 am. Additional candidates may join our breakfasts as their campaign schedules allow.
In 1996, Elaine Marshall became the first woman elected to a statewide executive branch office in North Carolina. She immediately established herself as a competent administrator with an eye toward reform. As the 2024 election approaches she reminds voters:
“As Secretary of State, I’ve worked to cut the red tape for entrepreneurs starting companies, track special interests and the people who lobby for them, prosecute criminals who are masquerading as charities, and crack down on financial fraud—getting serious jail time for crooks. Customer service is my priority for our office that serves all citizens without regard to if it’s a single individual or a national corporation. …With a proven track record of success, I want to continue serving North Carolina by fostering economic growth and championing the interests of all residents.”
Please bring a breakfast item to share at our potluck breakfast. A $10 donation to the Rowan Democratic Party would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot attend and wish to donate, please go to https://secure.actblue.com/donate/rowan (https://secure.actblue.com/donate/rowan)
Unaffiliated voters who support democracy and lean blue are welcome to join local Democrats at all our monthly RCDP meetings. RCDP strives to provide opportunities for voters to hear first hand from those running for office.
