You may want to brush off your copy of A Letter from Birmingham Jail before the February 12 Rowan Dems Zoom breakfast.
Or click here and read it now.
This month’s featured speaker is Salisbury City Council member Anthony Smith, who will present “We are Prisoners of Hope: a talk on MLK’S Letter from a Birmingham Jail.”
King’s letter, a foundational document, is a soaring plea for human rights that deftly brings the moral imperatives of the Civil Rights Era into clear focus.
If you don’t read it before the monthly Zoom breakfast (it’s not required), you’ll probably want to read it after.
Smith’s presentation is sure to be engaging and empowering. Breakfast begins at 10am.
You can also now catch up on all our breakfast gatherings on our Youtube channel.
Registration is required to attend. Zoom log-in info will be emailed to you automatically (check your spam or “promotions” folder).
After you register, you will be taken to the county party’s donation page. Please be sure to give a donation online. That’s how we keep these meetings going and fund our organizing efforts throughout the county!
If you can’t attend, but would still like to donate, you can do so here: www.actblue.com/donate/rowanbreakfast
