It’s an important month for Democrats as Early Voting and Election Day approaches. Here’s an extensive list of many community and RCDP events that focus on voter information and volunteer opportunities for Getting Out the Vote. Mark your calendars and step up to participate as we work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

• Wednesday, October 9, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Bostian Crossroads Precinct Party with candidates, South Rowan Regional Library, 920 Kimball Rd, China Grove, NC 28023
• Thursday, October 10, 5:00 – 7:00 pm – Joanne Chesley Fundraiser for United Way of Asheville – Council Business Center, 730 S. Main St. Kannapolis, NC (all campaign item purchases will be donated to the United Way of Asheville)

• Saturday, October 12, 10:00 am – RCDP Monthly Breakfast – Mama Patience – Words of Wisdom,  – performance art  – RCDP HQ, 1504 W. Innes, Salisbury, NC 
• Tuesday, October 15, 1:00 pm – Senior Democrats – RCDP HQ, 1504 W. Innes, Salisbury, NC – program to be announced
• Tuesday, October 15, 6:00 pm –  State and Local Candidate Forum at Norvell Theater,  135 E Fisher St, Salisbury, NC 28144 – Meet & Greet at 5:15 pm in the lobby. Forum begins at 6:00 pm in the theater. 
• Wednesday, October 16, 6:00 pm – When We Fight, We Win! – Rowan Hispanic Community meets at RCDP HQ, 1504 W. Innes, Salisbury, NC  (informative meeting to answer questions about voting, the candidates, and platform policies)

• Thursday, October 17, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Park Ave. Community Center, 632 Park Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144 – Precinct 38 (East Ward) Democrats are hosting an Early Voting Kickoff Cookout with Candidates on Oct. 17 (polls open 8:00 am – 7:30 pm on 10/17)
• Saturday, October 19, 12:00 – 3:00 pm – Vote Fest 2024 – 722 W. Horah St. Salisbury (Family, Fun, Food Trucks, Music, 360 Booth – Festival with a Purpose – the Power of Voting)  
• Sunday, October 20, 1:00 – 5:00 pm – Community All Souls 2 the Polls – 1-5 pm – West End Plaza (Old Salisbury Mall) Outside Entrance 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. W Salisbury, NC 28147 Food truck on site. Join your friends & vote!
• Tuesday, October 22, 6:30 pm – Rowan Democratic Executive Meeting, RCDP HQ, 1504 W. Innes, Salisbury, NC

Volunteers Needed:

• Sign up to be a Poll Greeter at Early Voting at one of the 5 Early Voting Sites. Handing out blue Democratic slate cards to voters, helps elect Democrats up and down the ballot. A sign-up for  Election Day poll Greeters will be added in the near future. https://signup.com/go/BNPXWFP
