Honor community history on Saturday 9/16, beginning at 10 am with the Dixonville Cemetery dedication and continuing at Bell Tower Green with the celebration of Festival de Independencia Latinoamericana, 2-9 pm.
The Dixonville-Lincoln Memorial Task Force invites you to the Dixonville Cemetery Memorial Dedication Saturday, September 16, at 10 a.m.
The dedication will begin at Dixonville Cemetery, at the sign kiosk at 110 Old Concord Road, and will follow with a reception, refreshments and remembering Dixonville/East End in the Fellowship Hall of First Calvary Baptist Church, 400 South Long Street.
Parking is available at Fred M. Evans Pool and at First Calvary Baptist Church.

Festival de Independencia Latinoamericana – 2:00 – 9:00 pm, Saturday, Sept. 16
Join us as we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with the Festival de Independencia Latinoamericana. This is a celebration of all Latino heritage with authentic music, dancing, food and more.
There will be a Parade of Flags, Mayor’s Proclamation, El Grito and La Loteria.
Performances by DJ Mon-Te, Ballet Folklorico Corazon De Mexico, Daniela Ramirez, Wanda Lopez and Furia Tropikal.

Playing Since 1990
Founded by José Ayala in 1990, Furia Tropikal was born in the small Latino-populated community of Union City, NJ. Just a ferry away from New York City. Our band started performing at family parties, local restaurants, weddings, and company events. Eventually, it grew into performing at major festivals around the East Coast.
