Who is working to make North Carolina schools stronger?
The daughter of Governor Jim Hunt, our state’s “Education Governor,” Senator Rachel Hunt will speak at the next Democratic Breakfast on Saturday, September 9th, at 10:00 am at the Democratic Headquarters, 1504 West Innes Street, Salisbury. Her talk is titled “What North Carolina Was and What We Can Be Again!”
Senator Hunt is running for the office of Lieutenant Governor to fight for basic freedoms, create safer communities, and improve our education system. A senator, lawyer, and mother, Rachel Hunt has dedicated her professional career to defending the rights of women and children. As a public servant, she is known as a tough negotiator who fights for policies to better serve North Carolina families, and she is leading the charge to make our schools stronger! North Carolina deserves better and it will take a Hunt Democrat to get us back on track!
Our monthly breakfast is a potluck, so bring a breakfast dish to share if you can. Doors will open at 9:45.
This event is free, but a donation of $10 per person will help cover monthly expenses in Rowan County. If you cannot attend, but would like to donate, go to www.actblue.com/donate/rowandemocrats.
