May’s guest speaker, Rod Crider, currently serves as the president and CEO of the Rowan Economic Development Council in Salisbury, North Carolina and will help us learn more about economic development in Rowan County.

Rowan Democrats, unaffiliated voters, and moderate conservatives are invited to join local Dems on Saturday, May 10th, at 10:00 AM to hear about a subject specific to Rowan County. RCDP Headquarters is located at West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC and doors open at 9:45. Please bring a dish to share for our breakfast potluck.

Crider also serves as chair of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Economic Development Advisory Council (EDAC) and is a member of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He has earned the distinction of “Certified Economic Developer” from the International Economic Development Council and “Certified Chamber Executive” from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Crider is one of less than two dozen active development professionals to hold both certifications.
