From the NC Budget and Tax Center: Tell your lawmaker to VOTE NO on constitutional amendments that limit our collective future! Our public schools and our child-care system are in a world of hurt, and our public infrastructure is crumbling under the weight of underfunding. It’ll get worse if we make it impossible for future lawmakers to consider raising income taxes on the wealthy and profitable corporations to fund our future.

• Right now, state lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 920, a new giveaway to the wealthiest households and profitable corporations, that would lead to higher sales and property taxes for working class families. 
• A cap on income taxes might sound good, but it’s actually harmful to working class North Carolinians who rely on public programs and services for our quality of life. First, they totally eliminated income taxes for big corporations and now this! It will leave people like us footing the bill for the billions of dollars lost in the form of higher sales taxes, property taxes, and even fees all while the wealthiest and corporations get a permanent tax break.
