Wednesday, August 28th, 6:30-8:00 pm at Catawba College. Please consider attending to show your support for our current trusted NC elections. Learn more about deflecting the MAGA message that is trying to erode faith in our elections and our democratic republic by spreading lies and misinformation. Don’t forget to share with friends who might need a good dose of reassurance and/or bring someone with different political beliefs.
The North Carolina Network for Fair, Safe, & Secure Elections hosts the Trusted Elections Tour, a grassroots project initiated by The Carter Center. The tour consists of 27 town halls across the state to provide information on the electoral process, build trust in our voting system, and strengthen civil discourse.
These 90-minute town halls will feature cybersecurity experts, election officials, and election law attorneys from both sides of the aisle. They will address public concerns about electronic voting machines and hacking, explain the secure process for collecting and counting votes, and advise on how challenges, recounts, and fraud allegations are dealt with through proper legal channels.
As polarization increases, so does the risk of political and identity-based violence. The Network brings North Carolinians together who share a common concern for the future of our state and the mutual desire to build a more healthy democratic republic for all – regardless of political beliefs.
Our goal is to equip trusted messengers (that’s you) with the tools necessary to create change.
The North Carolina Network for Fair, Safe, and Secure Elections is a cross-partisan initiative working for a more peaceful North Carolina where everyone can participate and have their voices heard.Together we keep democracy strong.
