Share the RCDP version of a “Cup of Joe” with other Democrats and local voters who lean blue in 2024 and hear firsthand how these excellent candidates are ready to serve and lead when elected to the offices of Insurance and Labor.

What do the Commissioners of Insurance and Labor do as part of the NC Council of State? Why are these elected offices so important to the people of NC?

Come meet two statewide Democratic candidates—Natasha Marcus and Braxton Winston—at the June 8th Democratic Breakfast at Headquarters (1504 West Innes Street, Salisbury) at 10 am.

Natasha Marcus, who is running for NC Commissioner of Insurance, currently represents District 41 in the NC Senate. After earning her law degree from Duke University, she has been a lawyer, judicial clerk and community leader. Marcus believes “The Insurance Commissioner’s work touches almost every North Carolinian — young and old, workers, motorists, patients, homeowners, firefighters, and business owners — and should be held by someone who is on the side of the people.”

Braxton Winston, seeking the office of NC Commissioner of Labor, served as Mayor Pro Tem and Council member on the Charlotte City Council and is a union stagehand and grip and a member of our region’s robust sports television and entertainment production community. A Davidson College Alumnus, he says, “It’s time we have a worker representing us in the Department of Labor.”

Join us for our June potluck breakfast and bring an item to share if you can. A ten dollar contribution would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot attend but wish to contribute, please use this link. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/rowan (https://secure.actblue.com/donate/rowan)
