The 2024 Election may be one of the most important elections in our nation. RCDP knows that local Democrats are concerned – you’ve told us so! We are pleased to bring Cassie Rice and her expertise to our April 13th Breakfast at 10 am. (Doors open at 9:45 am)

In addition to food and fellowship, our April guest speaker, Cassie Rice, will warm our hearts and prepare us with listening strategies for winning the 2024 election on the local, state, and national levels.

An active Democrat, Rice says, “Growing up in a political household, I learned early on that government has the ability to improve all lives. My grandmother, in particular, taught me to give a voice to those who do not have one and to stand for what is right, no matter the cost.

Her talk, “Story Sharing, Story Listening: Strengthening Basic Democracy,” will remind us that we must talk to one another to Get out the Vote and win this election. She will provide specific strategies to help each of us be more comfortable as we talk one on one with potential Democratic voters.

A Raleigh native, Rice earned a master’s degree in political science from UNC and a master’s degree in European studies from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Rice currently serves as the Chair of the Orange County Democratic Party, President of the NC Chairs Association, and works regularly with local and statewide Democratic leaders.

Please bring a breakfast item to share at our potluck breakfast. A $10 donation to the Rowan Democratic Party would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot attend and wish to donate, please go to https://secure.actblue.com/donate/rowan to contribute!

Come and learn strategies to turn NC blue in 2024!
