Support our Local Schools and consider attending Public School Strong (online) Training to learn more about advocating for public schools.

How can the Rowan County Democrats and other community members become more effective public school advocates on the local level? Attend one of the bi-monthly meetings, Public School Strong (online) Training, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-8:30 pm. During the training, attendees learn what to look for when observing BOE meetings and tips on how to champion a vision that includes well-resourced and inclusive public schools here in Rowan County. Attendees are eligible to request a free T-shirt to wear to the meetings!

Public School Strong, a statewide public school advocacy organization, is a project of the HEAL Together NC coalition. Choose this link to learn more about HEAL’s free virtual events.

The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 4:30 unless otherwise noted on this schedule. (Citizens can speak at meetings labeled as Business Meetings.) By attending Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education’s meetings, community members can make their voices heard and become informed about issues and events affecting our local schools.
