A District Attorney (DA) in NC is the elected official who represents the state in criminal prosecution and supervises assistant district attorneys, victim witness legal assistants, investigators, and other administrative employees. Dianne Sartiano invites all voters to be informed, “…the forum is an opportunity for all voters to learn more about the candidates vying for an office that wields great power in our community.”

In 2022 only two candidates are running for the office of Rowan District Attorney. Both will be on the Republican ballot during the primary. The winner of this contest will be unopposed in the general election.

Both candidates have been invited to a Candidate Forum that will take place on April 28th from 6:30-7:30 pm at Mission House, 120 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury. Sponsored by Women for Community Justice, Rowan Concerned Citizens, Salisbury Indivisible, and Mission House, the forum is an opportunity for all voters to learn more about the candidates vying for an office that wields great power in our community.

Although registered Democrats cannot request a Republican ballot during the primary, that doesn’t mean Dems or any voter should be uninformed about our potential elected officials. Mark your calendars for April 28th. The doors open at 6:15 pm. Al Heggins and Olen Bruner will moderate.
